Minutes:
- Mark Canny elected to remain treasurer
- Mike Mottola elected to remain Handicap Chairman
- Sean Clooney elected as new Vice President
- Bob Toomey will be Honorary Captain
- James Waldron elected as new President
- WhatsApp group will be for paid members only
- Membership confirmed at $200

2025 Meeting Minutes
Bantry Bay | February 23rd, 2025 – 1pm
Present: Mike Mottola, Sean Clooney, James Waldron, Vinny O’Connell, Gerry Coyle, Jeff Giordano, Dennis Koldea, John Corr, Paul McGinley, Adrian McGinley, Tommy Larkin, Jack Larkin, Connor Driscoll, Damien O’Neill
Minutes:
- Sean congratulates himself and gives speech
- James President voted to remain President
- Sean Clooney voted to remain Vice President
- Mike Mottola voted to remain Handicap Chairman
- Jeff Giordano elected new Treasurer
- $2,200 remains in bank account of annual meeting
- Membership fee $200 – unchanged from 2024
- 2025 schedule discussed
- Partners championship remains a single-day tournament
- Club votes in favor of paying membership dues in order to enter president’s cup bracket
- Club championship to remain 8 lowest rounds of 2025 prior to 7/13/25
- Must play 2 rounds for club
- 2025 MAC’s Captain – Gerry Coyle

- No lateral hazards of Mill Pond or anywhere.
- Hit provisional if possible, lost ball.
- No gimmes on putts.

2026 Meeting Minutes
Bantry Bay | February 28th, 2026 – 3pm
Present: Mike Mottola, Jeff Giordano, Sean Clooney, Joe Cipolla, Gerry Coyle, Tommy Larkin, Ernie Mooney, James Waldron, Adrian McGinley, Alan Hughes, Connor Driscoll, Mark Canny, Benny Dunne
Minutes:
- James Waldron begins the meeting thanking the Board for all their hard work and turns the meeting over to Sean Clooney to present the President’s report.
- 2025 Mac’s annual meeting minutes approved.
- Sean gives an overview of the 2025 season, congratulating captain Gerry Coyle on a great captain’s day as well as the winners for the Presidents Cup & Partners Championship winners. Club Championship to be completed.
- Sean gives an overview of the state of the club, including welcoming 5 new members in 2026.
- 2026 schedule and new courses discussed.
- Treasurer’s report presented by Jeff Giordano. Approximately $2,400 left in the bank at year end 2025 after all payouts. $1,700 of those funds used for 2026 course deposits.
- Membership fee discussed. Vote to raise annual membership fee from $200 to $250 voted on and unanimously approved.
- New end of the year points proposal and payout structure discussed. Club voted on and approved new 2026 year end points proposal. Top 10 in points to be paid out based on total points received in 2026. Updated standings will be posted each week so each member knows where they stand. Weekly payout structure will remain as is.
- Mike Mottola gives handicap report.
- Sean Clooney gives registrar report on behalf of John McLaughlin.
- Old Business discussed. $4,000 donated to Wheelchair Sports Federation based on donations from 2025 Captains Day.
- New Business discussed. Ernie Mooney captain for 2026.
- Board of Elections: Sean Clooney voted as President of Mac’s Golf Club. James Waldron voted as Vice President. Mark Canny & Adrian McGinley voted as the greens committee. No other changes.
- Open forum: Handicaps discussed at length between members. It was noted and re-iterated that all scores need to be posted by members. If for some reason you cannot post your own score, you need to relay your score to handicap chairman Mike Mottola so he can post it for you.
Rules:
- Club unanimously voted and approved new rule to remove (roll) ball from divot in your own fairway only.
